Transmission Fluid Change...

Post by ~NoMaD~ »

I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what device I should get to fill fluid back into the transmission case. The drain screw is very accessible, but the fill screw is on top, very close to the body. Perhaps some type of fluid pump or hose with a valve on the end.

I have the 710K and should probably change all the gear fluids.

My Manuals are German/French (I have basic german reading skills, but they dont seem to give any suggestions as to what is needed!

Thanks For any help!

Buy the gear lube in gallon bottles. They sell pumps that fit where the cap is and have clear plastic tubes for reaching the fillers.

Thanks... I'll do that so I can fill the other hard to rach places... As for the Tranny... I found the access port from above inside the back cab... Man I feel dumb. Oh well...

Now to get that fluid back in and test him out! I recently ran onto a rock with the oilpan and bent it, and since then, my tranny makes a mild grinding noise.

I also found a cool tutorial on how to make an oil pump... Here's a link!

Maybe I'll try that one before I buy any tools!
