Long drive and knuckle seals are leaking

Post by audiocontr »

I did a long drive (8 hours) and i see the front knuckle seals are leaking. I had originally thought it was the brakes, but nope, Jim L is correct javascript:emoticon(':P') How difficult is the repair? Can i apply lube and hope for the best?

Heat may have built up and the seal acted as a pressure relief valve? Check the oil level in the hub, and tighten the seal ring. Not too tight, it just takes a small allen.

Where do I check the level of fluid? I'm under the truck as I type. If anyone can help, give me a ring. 716 510-6333
