Thanks for the suggestions! I will obviously have epoxy on the brake housing and the drive case. Will this be a problem should I ever attempt to remove the brake housing again?

Put a single layer of plastic food wrap like Glad Wrap in the joint to act as a mold release. You can build up the repair and when it is cured, separate the parts to remove the film.
If it were me, I'd split the housing away from the flange a bit and slide some thin cardboard (cereal box) into the gap behind the food warp to give it some support. Slide the brake housing back in place for the repair, and then remove the cardboard and plastic when things cure. That way none of the epoxy makes it inside the assembly where it's unwanted.
