6-speed transmission?

Diffs, axles, lockers, transmissions, portals, that kind of thing.

6-speed transmission?

Post by GRCameron »

A new listing popped up on ebay today for a 712 race truck that is advertised with a 6-speed transmission. Has anyone heard of such a tranny swap being done?

Looks like a pretty nice truck, but the price is high...

It's listed by a dealer who probably doesn't see a lot of Pinzgauers, so I wouldn't take anything in the ad too seriously. My guess is that 5 forward gears + reverse = 6. The ad also states 6 wheel drive, 4x4, whatever that means.

I believe that that vehicle has been for sale before. I have had friends from other sites that know I have a pinz send it to me

Sales logic: 6 wheels? Probably 6-speeds too. [FACE WITH STUCK-OUT TONGUE AND WINKING EYE]

Guess I should have read the fine print a little better...

Sounds like something to steer clear of.
