grease points for drive train
grease points for drive train
Time to grease the D.T. Where exactly are these points? thanks Zig
Re: grease points for drive train
Three fittings total and don't miss them. I had to replace my shorty shaft,
one U-joint pooped out and took the shaft knuckles with it. Getting a shaft
these days ain't cheap, and you need to get it balanced too. Use a premo
Grease like Lucas.

You mentioned three grease points for the D.T. I see one on the shaft, where are the other two. Zig
Re: grease points for drive train
There are two ends of the shaft...check the other one. Sometimes it is necessary to rotate the shaft to find them.

A tip for aligning your zerk(sp?) fittings on the driveshaft for the grease gun:
- Put your transfer case shifter in neutral so you can easily rotate the shaft by hand.

One zerk in each u-joint cross and one on the spline.

These are the PDFs I scanned in from their original German Service Manual. They were front and back, so don't mind the slight discoloration.

Re: grease points for drive train
True. But not exactly part of the drive train, IMHO.berger wrote:There is also a grease nipple on the pintle.
