Nut and Bolt Check

Post by ExpeditionImports »

I think it is important to do your safety check on the running gear a couple times a year if you are offroading your trucks. Check those portals if you are hitting the rough stuff. Make sure you spend some time looking over the undercarriage before hitting the trail. Check your major fasteners before you get heavy into the season to prevent any unwanted repairs. Usually recommend a roller and starting at the front of the truck and working your way to the back and then the opposite.

Check those castle nuts and cotter pins on the steering linkages, shock bolts, axle centering and clamp bolts, etc, etc,. Good time to check your engine and transmission mounts. Better to find it before hand that to experience the fun of the failure.

This one took a drill, a little heat, an extractor and air impact gun. Fun was had by one and all. Short video on our Facebook page.
