I have the JW Speakers and all the bits to do a swap on mine sitting in the garage awaiting a peaceful day without interruptions to do the conversion.

This is on an Austrian rehab pinz with the big TD 5-segment lights, so I am anticipating some fun along the way completing this project. These will look similar, albeit better than the giant TD lights.

It is not stock but I think the looks really fits the truck. Boxy truck with boxy lights, also functional.

DJW, You should do it soon, and document it so I can follow someone else's lead. Take pictures too if you can.

I wish I had a lot of free time, but it doesn't work out that way these days. It's been on my list for a month and will hopefully get done within the same future window.

Alas.

I made a taillight conversion about 8 years ago, sticking with the
stock Taillight housing, adding a dedicated flood backup light,
splitting the functions out separately. The backup flood is very
helpful on the trail for obvious reasons. Pix attached.

Don't ask, long forgot how I re-used the existing wiring harness.
That said I have to figure it out again as the same conversion is
slated for the 712. Though that rig has a long list of to-do's before
that conversion.

I ended up with the non led cheeseburger style lights and a new switch. It is cheaper, and ultimately I think I want the speaker 265, just got to wait until they come up again and on sale. It's out of stock on headlight revolution.

Thanks for the input guys.

I got the last one headlight revolution had. Of course I need two and the second one is on backorder. They won’t respond to emails. They’ve been growing faster than they can keep up.

Anyone has the austrian wiring schematics? or atleast wiring schematics for their turn signal switch?
I'm trying to understand what is lost when converting to the 5 wire austrian turn signal switch. I understand there are three wires left after connecting the same colored ones of the swiss switch. One is left alone, but the other two is connected to the ones with a 3 wire connectors. I believe this is to connect the front and rear same side turn signals together?

I was thinking, the 5 wires would be ground, high beam, left turn signal, right turn signal, and a connection to the hazard switch?

I'm gearing up to do the conversion in a couple of days and trying to get things ready. I am planning to use the pink wire for brake light, and i have the non LED cheeseburger style lights.

Anyone with any tips for this conversion would be greatly appreciated.
