wiper's are stripped

Post by audiocontr »

The mount where the wiper arm attaches to the posts has stripped. I can tighten the 10mm bolt and they will still swing loose. Would some fiber based tape around the worn groves work? Any McGyver solutions?

Your idea of a fiber-based tape may work.
I had a similar problem and used a Dremel tool with a metal grinding stone in it to make some new flat areas for the set bolt to seat against. Probably couldn't do this too often without ruining the wiper pivot, which is a pricey little devil
