I got one through our local NAPA which is useable as "normally-on" as well as "normally-off". (I don't recall the part number, but it was quite inexpensive.) I used both functions: the normally-on powers my backup lamps and the normally-off powers my blackout light. That way, when I run blackout mode, my backup lamps are disabled.

Paul,
The Hellas were one that I've gotten through NAPA and other auto parts stores. It's just the 24v counterpart to the 12v ones.

What about switches? Something waterproof and sufficient for 24v? I see several on Summit but they all state 12v.

24V switches

Try these guys for 24v DC stuff

http://www.24voltproducts.com/

I am using switches from a UniMog radio box. There were lots of things in the back of my Mog that I saved...cause you never know when you might need something.

Check with the Mog parts people...EI and SAV. Bet they have stuff just like you want. Maybe even Volvo parts places...also, most (edit: older) big rigs are 24v as well, check at truck stops, the bigger ones always have parts racks out in the open.

also, most big rigs are 24v
That was my understanding too. But, according to several local stores, this may not be true of your average semi truck any longer. I was repeatedly advised that most semis were using 12v systems now. Anybody have a definitive answer?
