Brake switch changed out - took 4 minutes !

Post by stiffler4444 »

Hi all,

I never like to be a stick in the mud, but I had to change out my brake light switch on the weekend. After reading all the old posts, I was very afraid, with the stories of brake bleeding and tight spaces, etc.
Proudly, my experience was issue free, with the removal of the old wires, switch, attachment of new switch and reaplication of wires taking only 4 minutes (well, less than five, but four sounds better). I lost but one drop of fluid, as I plugged the hole with my finger and then the new switch magically threaded in perfectly the first time.
Anyways, I do realize that I have now caused a jinx for my next repair by basking in the glory of this one, but it really isn't all that bad as pointed out by some of the more learned repairmen........

Hey! It's not the size of the fingers, it's how you control them
