Heater blowing cold air

Post by dcajun »

Selling my mog and bought a pinz 710, so I'm new to the pinz world (awesome vehicle). I'm down south
and don't need a lot of heat, but it sure would be nice at times. My heater doesn't seem to blow very
hot, for an air cooled engine. After reading old post, I will check my hoses for leaks, but any other
suggestions would be appreciated.

You mean the heater vents at the windshield? That system is pretty ineffecient ad really designed for defrausting the winshield. Make sure the vent lever is up (blue) and the heater lever is down (red). Check the hoses for cracks and drop the cab divider. That's about the best heat you'll get unless you want to replace your hosing.

And you really don't get any heat unless you've got your foot into it for ten minutes or more, like driving down the freeway. No heat to speak of at idle or just "round the town" type of driving.
