Is the wiper switch in this pic an intermittent switch?

Post by legaleagle2004 »

Pictured is the wiper switch I am replacing on the dash, is corroded and stuck. Is this an intermittent switch? It has a single pull on top, but doesn't match the new one I ordered as far as connections going in. It's got 2 green 2 brown (assuming the power and ground busses) and red and black (assuming + and - going to the wiper motor).
New one has 3 wires input, matches the heater switch exactly.

If I don't want to pay for an intermittent wiper switch just hook the black negative motor wire to ground? and use the 3 leads on the regular switch?
