I am trying to find a source for barrel type plugs. The type that plug in and then twist or screw to stay connected and accommodate either 8 or 10 gauge wire.
Local outlet no longer carries them.
Thanks,
Morris

Morris,
I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for but I've found useful electrical items from these sources:

Re: Source for military style plugs
Paul,
I am amazed. So many pretty little things to look at. I am sitting here having my Red Stripe (Yeah Beer) and checking out the sites. I think I might get the shell connectors from Eriks Supply.
I am making connections for a wind generator to charge the battery for the ARB cooler while camping. So it might be OK that they are a push on connector since there would be no force
against them. The solar panel just isn't quite enough for the aux battery when sitting for days on end and leaving it hooked to the pinz battery is more than a bit chancy.
Seems it is time to put some cash into the pinz and I am going to rebuild the carbs and change out the starter for one of EI's fancy new type. Terry is doing his carbs and said he would
help me along so I can't pass up the opportunity to get them done. Have some trips to take this next summer and am trying to get a few items fixed that might cause issues. Of course
the problem (if one occurs) will more than likely be something that I never thought of. The pinz turns 40 this year and it and I need to celebrate with a few adventures. I become 67
this year and can't let the roads go untraveled.
Thanks for your help,
Morris

Morris,
Yes, isn't it fun to just browse thru all the neat things these places carry. The mental gears start rolling and I'm always coming up with some strange projects to try.
I really appreciate the EI starter on these very cold winter days. I'm very tempted to get one for the second Pinz even though its' starter is just fine.
My Pinz turns 40 this year too and I hope to take some local trips with it, primarily for my benefit though my wife enjoys it also.
Here's another interesting site to browse: https://www.libertytreecollectors.com/p ... ategory=23
Nothing to do with electrical parts but some fun stuff.
