Flasher interval

Post by crcpinz »

When I turn on my flasher, either by turn signal or emergency lights, the lights go on for about five seconds, then go off momentarily, then on for another five, and so on. Is this a normal interval? The emergency lights don't look emergency-like. Thanks for reading/posting. Sorry I couldn't find anything via the search option.

I haven't used my hazards much, but I am pretty certain that when I use the turn signals, they flash until I stop them. No breaks in between flashes.

Sounds like you have a bad ground in one or more of the lights, possibly a bad or corroded bulb. Do all of the lights come on when they do flash?

All lights work perfectly. It's just that they all turn on for a very long time and then off briefly before they're on again.

Yes, standard bulbs, maybe it's time to replace the flasher, I guess.
