It's not like Colorado here. In the summer it gets hotter than the desert (i've lived in both high and low deserts) without the advantage of low humidity. I've lived in the desert, in the mountains, and a few places in-between, and frankly, the summers here are too humid/hot to be comfortable without a/c. An exhaust fan would be nice when the top is on. (I can't leave the top off all the time, crime in Chicago is terrible too. It would get stolen pretty fast. I have to use a club, remove the battery cutoff, and I'll probably install locks too.

Best to exhaust the hot air at the top of the cab. You can get an ~4" opening in the center of the rollbar, and put an exhaust fan in there to blow the hot air out.

Add a rain cap. But it's probably not too hot when its raining, right?

Looks like you have it all figured out already but here is another option that member ScottishPinz used on his 710k
