Electrical gremlins

Post by ScottishPinz »

Had such a run of problems with my truck of late. First after leaving it for a few weeks it wouldn't start. The batteries were no longer holding charge and one of them had split. I sourced a similar size of modern battery ( http://www.tayna.co.uk/249-Powerline-Ca ... P8898.html ) which had almost double the CCA and total capacity of the original, the terminals are the other way round but that makes little difference and they fit great.

Truck at last started but was running really poorly and the indicators weren't working.

The indicators I finally traced today to the dash bulb which when replaced completed the circuit and all worked well.

The poor running I'm fairly sure is a plug lead which I will hopefully have replaced tomorrow.
