100%. Airing down WILL make a difference, as noted by the data. And consider it justification for a nice air up/down solution that you can leverage out on the trail! :)

I pulled off my rear canvas and my pinz fits without airing down the rear tires. It hits the vinyl door seal but I don’t care. I’m going remove the old crunchy rear canvas and bows and just leave the rear roll bar on. I do park it outside sometimes and will just tarp the cab or have custom cover made just for my cab. I no longer camp and only use the pinz for car shows and parades and such.

Just one last posting on this from me in case there's an idea that might help.

Fortunately for me, my garage is an outside building, with no second floor above.
So I had a bit more flexibility to raise the header. It was framed for a standard 6' 6"
opening with a flapper type door -- which made the effective opening even lower.

I was lucky in the sense that my header was one solid 4" x 14" x 18.5' with no sag,
and over 8" of superfluous framing above and below it -- all got ripped out and just
jacked that header up with new support and trim. I found a garage door company
that custom built a panel door and got that up high enough to be above the header
when open. All told opening is 7' 7" and can accommodate both trucks with "extras"
on the roof line such as solar panels and working hf antenna bases.

One thing I did consider was to just replace the header with a steel beam which
ended up larger than I expected to confirm with code but this may be an option
for some.

To avoid the whole door issue, I opted for a sheet-style roll-up door. Similar to what you see in commercial settings. Gets the door 100% out of the way, above the header, and not overhead the inside area when it's open. But this only is an option if you have sufficient clearance for the roll. I tucked mine within 1/2in of the roof sheeting on either end. Pretty easy self-install for a 9ft x 9ft door.
