Hello -

Can anyone verify the diameters of the brake cylinders used on the first generation Pinzgauers? Front, Rear and the Master?

All I seem to have found is the front brake cylinders are 28.6mm in diameter.

Thanks for the help...

Perfect - thank you very much!

Do the 712 / 6x6 really use a smaller brake power booster diameter? Never noticed that if they do... Always thought the brake systems were identical other than the additional two more brake cylinders...

Any other differences between the 710 brakes and the 712 brakes?

The part numbers for the servo 's are different;
no details given here
710 http://www.puch.at/en/spare-parts/pinzg ... r-ab/#pos1
712 http://www.puch.at/en/spare-parts/pinzg ... r-cd/#pos1

The info I posted is from the Austrian Army manual; no guarantee that the Swiss Pinzes are identical ....

btw there is a serious "wiring " difference between 710 and 712.
on 712 you have one circuit serving both front wheels with duplex brakes, and the other one both rear axles, i.e 4 wheels with simplex
on 710 there is one circuit spanning one of the duplex brakes of each front wheel and the left rear , second circuit takes the other front cylinders and the right rear.

that explains why 710 have two rubber brake hoses for each front wheel, and 712 a single ....
