Park brake guide bracket near engine mount

I've always thought my pinz is missing a parking brake guide bracket somewhere near the engine mount because my cable gently rubs against my engine mount. This guide bracket isn't shown in my parts catalogue or any parts drawings I've ever seen so until now I haven't been able to verify its existence, but I have just seen a cable guide in a pic from bbolander's oil leak thread located under the two middle cylinders. I took a screenshot of said pic but unfortunately I'm unable to repost it here as the file is too big but it's in the top right hand corner of the last pic he posted in that thread.

I would really appreciate it if someone could take some good shots of this parking brake cable guide bracket and where it mounts so that I can fabricate my own because I don't think this bracket is available to buy anywhere, a measurement of its length might also be useful.

Thanks Warren

Thanks for that, however I'm wondering how it mounts.
Is the bracket welded to the top of the backbone?

Yes, it's on a bracket welded to a gusset. Better pictures from rear and front.

Aha I see... Welded to the steel sandwich piece between diff casing and the back bone, no wonder it's not detailed in parts drawings.

I wonder what on earth happened to mine, there no evidence of anything ever been welded there. I had always assumed some kind of bolt on bracket was missing.
It's going to be fun trying to get a weld in up in there....ill probably have to take the headers off.

Thanks for the pics.

rather than removing a cylinder head , take out the whole engine / gearbox piece.
should be accomplished in two hours give or take, and gives you plenty of space for welding ...

Nah I'll get a weld up in there if I remove the exhaust pipes, no problem.

"Headers" is a term we use in Australia....I was referring to the exhaust pipes that come directly from the cylinder head.
