Any experience With these pinz wheels? They came on my new 712 and I am unsure wether I keep them or not. It was mentioned they were not good for off roading? Any substance to that? Any known problems with these? May just paint them black and keep them or go to a steel wheel.

Well they won't be as tolerant to rock climbing as steel wheels,
but that all depends upon how rough the trails are where you go.

The one thing I'd look at is lug nut seat, are they cone or ball.
In either case check to see what the actual thread engagement
is. The stock stud length is designed for Ball seats on a flat steel rim.

I just think they look weird, like something you'd see on an 18 wheeler (maybe the tire choice/size is part of that look). Anybody know if the offset right? Also, how would an impact socket fit around that nut?

Looks to me like only a thin wall socket can get ahold of those lug nuts.

Personally I like my original steel wheels.

If I ever decide to upgrade though...……..I'd be looking at bead locked wheels. I'm sure I could scour this site to see what is available in that realm and what works for the Pinzgauer.
