Tire load index for a 712?

Post by mopar »

Looking at some tires and they say they are a load index of 116 is that good for a 712m? Or should I just look for 10ply load range E tires?

You're looking at around 2756 lbs a tire for 116 index. I think you are more than ok. The E range tires are fine and common but there are trade-offs, like weight, sidewall flexibility, price and so on. If you aren't fully loading down the 712 and pulling a heavy trailer, I'd probably go with the lighter tires.
