Looking for stock steel wheels

Post by ChickenPinz »

I'm looking for a set (5) of stock steel wheels so I can maintain a second set of mounted tires. Anyone in the western US have a set they're looking to part with?

I don't want to go with the Transit rims due to fit issues, and prefer OEM.

I've got 8-10 of them but unfortunately I'm in Wisconsin and shipping is darn expensive. If you're near Texas I'd check with Andre at Fat Fabrications.

I have a set of 5 stock steel 5.5jx16s off my 1988 300GD located in Colorado. Same bolt pattern (5x130) although backspacing may be slightly different. Would need to investigate.

Thanks. For now I want to stick with the OEM Pinz rims so no offset or lugnut issues to worry about.

The G wagon rims will fit the bolt pattern for the 716 and 718 not the 710 or 712

But you cant use new brakepads with the g wagon rims as they will hit the brakecalipper...g wagon steel rim has ET 63.....the original pinz. TD steel rim has ET 73.....thats why.

I picked up two original rims from Dennis at Linden Engineering in Golden a few years ago and it looked like he had more.

Greyhound is fairly inexpensive to ship but not super convenient. Drop off at bus station and must be picked up at receiving bus station once arrived. Cheap though.

I have shipped large auto parts on Greyhound, such as doors and trunk lids, without a problem.
