leak of floor boards ?

Post by Peresh »

Some advice would be appreciated.

The floor board was sticky yesterday morning and I saw some type of clear lubricant dripping
From where the clutch is connected. The liquid drips down the clutch on the floor.

Any idea of the what, why and where this is ?

Thank you

Brake fluid.

Start by finding the source of the leak. Than post more details. Right now your pretty vague. The leak could be in a couple of areas.

Not unusual
The leak is most likely the clutch master cylinder.
Run your fingers up the clutch pedal--you will probably find it wet with fluid that has run along the push rod and down the pedal
Now look behind the knee pad and observe the clutch reservoir, It will most likely be empty or getting close to it. It's time for a new master cylinder or rebuild the one you have with a seal kit. The first option is expensive the second is a cheapy.
