master cylinder reservoir

Post by krick3tt »

Noticed that the reservoir on the right side appears to have no fluid. Is it an expansion device or should both plastic 'bottles' be full. The one on the left has min/max lines and the right has none.
As yet I have had no issues with brakes with the exception of periodic shoe adjustments, sometimes it is useful to give the pedal two pumps. Do I have a problem? Can see no leakage at any lines nor have I noticed any 'drips' at the cylinders when adjusting or cleaning the shoes.

edit...
the fluid in the bottle on the right is so clean that I couldn't see it. Had to shine a light from the back to see anything. Guess I really don't have a problem with it after all.
Whew, ....not knowing about all the ins/outs of this vehicle can be a bit alarming at times.
