vibration on front driver's side

Post by myjourney »

I'll be driving my Pinz and everything is smooth sailing, but then it feels like the vehicle will shift very slightly towards the front driver's side and i'll get a loud vibration...then, eventually, it'll settle back adn the vibration will stop.

I've taken it by 3 different mechanics, but don't have a clear diagnosis.

Mechanics:
1) wanted me to purchase upper and lower ball joint assemblies. He never even looked at it.
2) thought a piece of the ball had chipped off and needed to be removed.
3) admitted it was a guess and suggested getting new front shocks...thought the part (he or I don't know the name for it) that the bottom of the shock sits (rod with a round head) on may be causing the problem, He thought maybe the tip had worked it's way through to the shock and was causing the vibration.

It's been like this for 7 years now, and has never caused any issues...only the loud vibration. I'm trying to sell the pinz and would like to get this fixed.

Has anyone experienced the on again/off again vibration?

Anyone know of a pinz mechanic in the tallahassee/southeast region?
