Post by buzzz »

Can anyone post the brake lining specs for a 710m. I did a search and came up empty. Thanks in advance.

The info I am looking for is the thickness of the lining. I may have found a source for lining my brakes close to home. Thanks again.

Likely less expensive to get them from Jim L. however I think the answer to your question is 6mm. the following info is from the repair manual, under brakes page 20
Attention: new spare part numbers
710.1.36.512.2 Brake shoe with lining DON 264
710.1.36.491.1 lining DON 264 6mm (standard)
710.1.36.491.6 lining DON 264 7mm for finishing of brake shoes to 287 dia.

Thanks for the replies Jim and Edzz. I overlooked the specs in the repair manual. Jim sounds like a great price. I will need to follow up with the local source first, a close friend spent lots of time locating them. I should know in a few days if they can reline the brakes, If not I do want to buy the 8 you have. I am trying to avoid down time as it is in the middle of deer season. Thanks again.
