Post by comfortdental »

Hello everyone!
Im looking at buying a set of four super swamper tsl radials as an offroad only tire, I have the right tire lined up, but am having troubles finding an extra set of rims, same as stock size. does anybody know where I can find a set?

I believe certain UK Ford Transits had the same PCD but I think that's it. Some people have successfully found after market rims with the right PCD but then you're talking megabucks.

Try Dennis Williams at Linden Engineering: http://lindenengineering.com/

He's been taking apart some Pinzgauers and may have some wheels on hand.
Scott at EI may have some also or know where to get them.

Would it make sence to just use the swampers as daily tires the pinz doesn't go vey fast so stability isn't really an issue?

I have used rims--AND I have reconditioned rims with new outer sections welded to the original centres.

My first post... While waiting for my newly purchased 710K and reading this great forum to come up to speed, I came across this website for wheels. Thought it might be of interest to some of you looking for wider wheel as they have 16 x 8 rims and 5 x 160mm bolt circle centers that they'll build to any offset.

Those wheels are for tractors for "off highway" use only... not DOT approved, and for slow speed operation.

Yes, I see that now. Wonder what the difference might be between off road and DOT approved. There's a place near me that will make or repair pretty much any wheel, alloy or steel. They'll also widen stock steel wheels. I guess I'll give them a call.
