Sure they could fit. Might rub more than you would want and muck up your gear ratios, I kind of expect 35 – 36 inch tires would do that. This link may help you decide.

I believe this tires are too big for a pinz to move... I can't find a picture of one with this tires or somebody who has mounted this size before...

Many may disagree but, the largest tire I would put on a pinz is a 33 inch. I have dropped back to a 31 inch tire as I really don't

Definitely will not work. Ground clearance has little to do with how capable a 4x4 is anyway.

Re: 900x 16 tires
In a 712M they do fit perfectly, I have had 2 sets on mine, and just switched to 750R16 radials because I was tired of the inner tubes breaking because of the rim imperfections and the weight of each tire when I had to change them or clean/adjust the breakes... but I had much better highway speed (constant 110-120km/h) with those than with the 750's....
They didnt rub either when off-roading or in the streets, and the look those tires gave to the pinz was amazing..

Alex,
How were the larger tires for on-highway acceleration time? Also, were you able to drive them successfully up steep roads, and if so at what kind of elevations? Thanks for the feedback on them.

Re: 900x 16 tires
For the newbie's that may read this, the 712's are geared different. On a 710 this tire robs way too much of your torque for highway and low range 1st becomes too high for good off-road control. My 34" tires on the Croatia 712 rubbed off-road on extreme flex so I'm surprised to hear 9x16's don't as I was sure they were a little taller. The additional problems you have with steering is yet another story.

As I replied to another post with a similar topic, you will develop muscle because of the additional steering effort if you drive the pinz often haha... Now that I've switched to the 750's I can tell you that highway speed and acceleration were much better with the 900's.... Mine was the fastest pinz when compared to my friend 712M using different tires, even 710's and others with modified gearboxes... now I know the real reason why... yesterday I was trying to find 6th speed....
As for rubbing, in my case I just go to beaches and river enviroments, where you can find steps, holes and mud, and they dont rub... maybe in rocks its another thing..

Re: 900x 16 tires
I would think you would be down-shifting like crazy on anything but level ground with that tall a tire.
