Alternate heater?

So I'm quite new to this and am doing my first search for a 710K.
Being from the Northeast US, I require an auxiliary heater but some of the ones I'm looking at don't have it installed or have had it removed.
Is there a good aftermarket gas or electric heater that would be a good alternative to the old stock ones that are hard to find?

24 v petrol heaters are not available anymore here over in Europe ...

there are 24V Diesel from the two german manufacturers Webasto https://www.webasto.com and Eberspächer http://www.eberspaecher.com/en.html

I have two russian ones in my cars, since they cost less than 50 percent of the above and are said to be foolproof, low-tech and always working:

http://en.autoterm.ru/

Since your new president seems to have good connections to Russia  and wants to keep out the EU I would suggest go for the autoterm planar ...
all of them are roughly the same size as the original Eberspächer ... do not exceed 2.4 kW of power unless you wanna have a "Sauna on Wheels" ;-))

Greetings ... Simon

Webasto still list 24V, petrol units here in Australia.......strange they are not available in Europe, seeing they all come from there!

The russian made heaters are sold up in Vancouver BC - both in Gas and Diesel versions - you might consider looking across the border - more demand for aux heat up there.

Hard to find but buy a Haflinger BN2 gas heater!
VW used them as well
Example: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/VW-AirCooled-Bee ... 1418342612
Just posting as an example - know nothing about the ebay one

From the VW heater in the ebay ad: "Spannung Volt 12"

Thanks for all the good info!
I'm finding that the Webasto and Eberspächer models are fairly available in the US. Despite our increasingly closer relations with Russia, those don't seem to be accessible, at least not in Gasoline models.
Not much in choices for 24v gas models, but many to choose from for 12v versions- 24v-12v step down regulators are pretty cheap, so that shouldn't be an issue.

Thanks again, hopefully I have something to install it in soon.

(any good leads on a 710k in the states?)
