Has anybody tried the Tear-Aid A or B on the top

I have pin holes in my OEM canvas top. I used "Tear Aid" products to patch other stuff with good success. They make one for vinyl and one for everything else. Does anybody know which one to use on the top?

I used the vinyl kit to repair a 1" cut in the flap over the rear side 4 years ago. Patched inside and out and it is still holding up perfectly. It is close to a D ring and shows no signs of deforming from the extra tension. As my dear departed Grand-dad would have put it, "A blind man would be pleased to see it!"

Go for it!

Cheers, Clive

I have a roll of tear aid A I believe. It's about the best you can get (and is reflected in the price). I've actually got 3 pinholes on my intex pool this spring and I just slapped a patch of tear aid on it wet and let the sun do the rest. I also used it on a canvas awning and it is the only spot on the awning that won't leak after heavy rainfall. Highly recommended.

Just checked, it's tear aid A. I have a 6" x 30" roll. It was pricey, but priceless at the same time....

I would use it. Whether it's canvas or plastic it'll work. I find it best to let the sun bake it as its largely heat activated.

At TuffRiverStuff we use Tear Aid a lot - it is the best repair tape made, in our opinion. Use Type A on the VCP (standard issue) tops. Use Type B on Canvas (backpack style fabric or Sunbrella). If your tear/hole is big enough, put in a few stitches by hand to keep the edges of the tear lined up. Rub out any air bubbles. And smile =)
