So many screws/bolts/washers

Post by hackcampbell »

One of the previous owners of my Pinz did an amazing job painting it, unfortunately, they only did a so-so job putting it back together.

I'm missing a couple handfuls of screws, bolts, nuts, etc. For example, I'm missing the screws that hold the head guards in place. I'd like to get original hardware, but I suppose any hardware that fits and looks similar would be good enough. Short of buying a ton of metric hardware and guess and checking everything, I'm not sure how to figure out what I need.

SAV doesn't carry hardware, so I can't order directly from there. Puch.at seems to carry some of them listed, but I suspect there might be a better way, and I'd rather not be dependent on them forever.

How do y'all figure out what hardware you need for your Pinzs?

Assume you have the parts manual?
It lists all the parts and you can just make a massive list and then place an online order at your favorite metric bolt supplier.
For non structural fasteners I would go SS

Many I know use https://www.belmetric.com but there are many

What TechMOGogy said. The parts manual will provide the correct sizes of each fastener. Besides Belmetric I often order from McMaster.com.

Ah, heck. I don't have the parts manual, just the service and operator manuals. I've been intending to get it. Shame on me.

RTFM.
