Look at past discussion of replacing door gaskets and most links are outdated. Does anyone have recent supplier of door gaskets materials?

Thanks,

Jake

Yes, I've done 4-6 doors with it. It matches the original well but does require some careful miter cuts for the corners. You'll also need an appropriate glue for the corners. I used some Super Glue that was meant for use with rubber, Loctite 414 I think. 3M Weatherstrip Adhesive (black) worked well for gluing the weatherstrip to the door frame.

I seem to remember a forum thread from a few years back about a nice technique for mitering the corners. Probably worth a search.

Here is the thread Paul mentioned.
I had it bookmarked so easy to find: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=7533&start=15
I used 3M for all edges vs super glue.
Here are some photos from when I did it: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=7533&p=82664&hilit=seal#p82664

As it so happens I just did two more doors with my
Miter and the SAV material. I had to read my old
Posting as I forgot the details 🤔 still comes out
Nice and square.

I used some 3M self-adhesive weather stripping at the hardware store. Works well.

Doug308,

I'd be curious to see a cross section of that 3M weather stripping,
or a reference to it. Can you also send a PIX of you door with this
in place.
