4 bolts on the nose/hood?

I'm very curious about the pre-existing bolts and rivet nuts located in various places of my 712 body and what their original purpose was.
I'm particularly interested in the four bolts on the front of the vehicle. They appear to be 8 mm bolts with 13 mm heads spaced 10 cm vertically and 100 cm horizontally. They are offset significantly towards the passenger side. The bolts going to nuts with reinforcing plates under the dash and in the glove box. What was the original purpose on the vehicle?
I am thinking they would be excellent mounting points for a hi-lift jack mount.
