Mysterious short black pipe on front left inside body

Post by ChickenPinz »

Can anyone tell me what this short black vertical pipe is for? You can see the left front headlight bucket in the image to locate things. Some kind of additional heater plumbing that's missing?

That is the nozzle for the floor heat. The heater hose attaches from above.

Thanks, Paul. From the looks of it, my hose has come up short and disconnected, but all I need do is reconnect it to the existing "nozzle" and I'm back to original -- correct?

Yes indeed. Aircraft Spruce an d others carry various styles of heater duct if you’re interested in replacing the old stuff.

Just wanted to make sure there was no fancy baffles or dampers I'm missing. Yes, I'll raid my airplane hose stash for replacement hose. thx
