Thanks for the reply- they make really nice oem style tops, I'm looking to have one made in black Sunbrella Seamark fabric. My usual source is not available atm. ://

I spoke to Ray with tuff river stuff today, I’m pretty excited about having him do a top for me, but wondered if there are other after market companies I should consider?Image

I too, thought that Tuff River was not making pinz tops. If they are... There is no better top. All others are single sheet material. That said... my single sheet stock top lasted 30+ years.

If you farm it out... there are lots of tiny details the vendor may miss... like the weep holes at the bottom of the windows.

It came from Ray, somewhere around Dec of 2018. At the time I bought what according to him was going to be his last produced top because he was physically unable to do it anymore and reliable help was hard to come by. If things have changed since then, that's great.

You guys are correct about tough river stuff, he did quit making them. However he has a protégé that he is interested in potentially teaching him how to do it. So it won’t be Ray making it, but it will be him instructing his protégé on how to do it. But for the first few he will need the truck to fit it as they build it for like three months. And of course after Labor Day so that river season is over.
