And just how are you going to fit the rear doors on a 710K on a 710M platform :((

Who said I wanted side doors? I said I want a hard top. You guys make me remember why I don't like using the forums for anything. Bunch of smartasses.
710MS. Hard top with no side doors. The 710K rear door TOP HALVES will fit without the doors- I have a buddy who converted his M to a K with the upper half of a K just fine.
Any one else want to leave a moronic response?
I'll even throw in an AK if someone really has an itch to do the swap.

Probably by not putting on the doors, because I didn't say I wanted side doors on it.

And before I get another answer like "durr so the soft top guy has no more doors, body panels wont fit, hurr durr"

Please, spend 2 seconds trying to visualize what I said before speaking. EI Already made a soft-top K truck ("710S")

If MS rear windows were possible to find...I would've just said an MS. The problem is most American Pinzgauer owners don't even know the MS exists, that's a very European-only thing. The only way I could describe it (that I thought people would understand) was a K body on an M truck.

To further elaborate,
If anyone sees any abandoned Ks, K's in junkyards, knows anyone near Arizona who hasn't driven their K in 20 years- I'm open to any possibilities here.

This is my buddies truck behind mine. 710M with a K body and K door-tops, creating a sort of MS. This is what I mean.

Pinz710,
What you want isn't a big problem. I use nomenclature standardized with the TD models. For non-standard configuration of "standard parts, the first letter would be the platform on which it was built, M for a 3 door platform , or K for a 5 door platform, the next for the top, M for soft top, or K for a hardtop. In TD, a 716MK is somewhat common ( 3 door, hardtop though windowless and 'non K cutouts) version for the British army.
As you said, getting a K top and the rear door upper and the side door uppers (to fill the cutouts) is straight forward. Or have a sheet metal section made (as SDP did above). Another option is to find a fiberglass MK top that were made to do the same thing ( made by the Swiss) Some of these were floating around the US. The more common method is to have a top fabricated, Andre has made some. If you look in the 716/18 section you'll find a thread by Prof. Pinz where he had converted a 718M to a 718K manufacturing most everything himself, including door cutouts!... some fantastic metalwork.

My familiarity with these comes from me converting a 716K to a 716KM (5 door, soft top) 18 years ago. aka The Pink Cow

Very neat. Andre will always remain an option, I'm just trying to do it as "original" as possible, with as little aftermarket fab as possible. Andre does great work, I've seen a lot of it in person and in videos, but it isn't necessarily my style. But, if in a few years I never come across a top for sale/trade, I will likely raise this topic to him.
