What is the best way to clean the original canvas top+clear windows on a 1973 712m?

Hi,

you can clean it using a normal car shampoo and a mild brush, this works quite good.
After rinsing you can use for example 303 Aerospace protectant for protection

To get the windows clear again, I used to polish them, for example with the mild Meguiars polish. Using a exzenter machine (not a rotary), low speed and not too much pressure.
It helps if someone holds a panel against the window from the inside so it can't bend through.
Be carefull and take your time so the windows don't overheat, this damages the plastic irreversible.
