SAV carries them. Part #7111763352 and 7111763342. Expensive at $195.00 per door.

You might be able to find something suitable here : http://www.restorationspecialties.com/2 ... 0ebook.pdf

door seal

Post by krick3tt »

I have done both seals, the really expensive stuff and the by-the-foot type from SAV. You willl have to cut your own corners but the inexpensive B-T-F from SAV will work just fine (and it is about 1/10th the price) if you can even find the expensive seals.

Any suggestions on glues to re-stick the door seals to the door?
How'd this get here?

If you check the archives you will see the one that Jim L recommends.
It works, the black stuff by 3M I think.

Yup, the 3M products are great. Comes in yellow (dries yellowish clear) http://www.shop3m.com/60455029946.html and also in black http://www.shop3m.com/70070385854.html . Most auto parts stores and body shop supply outfits carry them in various sizes.

I re did all my weather stripping on my 710 M. I ordered it from SAV.

While they do sell the original (very espensive) they do have after market stripping that I used and it was recommended to me by their parts girl (Sara). It fits perfectly. Just tell her what you are looking for. She is great.

This won't work. Too small. I just ordered a roll and am sending it back. I'll just order the SAV stuff.

Great timing on this thread as I will need to re-do the doors on my 712 soon. Thank you all for the information, parts numbers, and web addresses.

Cheers,

I almost thought that I had surfed onto "C.S.I. Wyoming" there for a minute! I began to think..."how could door weather-stripping possibly be involved in a crime scene..."

 First thing they drill into your head in crime scene photography is detail photos are useless without a scale.

Forgive the crappy cell phone pic.

Anyone know how much is needed to do a 712M? Need it for both doors, tops and bottoms, and the tailgate.
