Soft window replacements for front doors

Post by jchobby »

Has anyone made a soft window for the front dors like on the Unimogs? Like many owners I take my window frames off in nice weather, & would like to have a light zip down window for summer. Thanks J

In summer I use the standard Austrian Army soft door tops.
They can be released quickly without the need to screw the
doorhandles of.

There's a Picture of my Pinzgauer with them on just to
give jou an Idea.

Richard,

We have talked about those sorts of door tops on this forum for many years. Where did you get them, do they still have some and how much were they?

Thanks,

David

Check eBay.de the german eBay, the soft front door tops show up there every now and then. Call around to the Pinz dealers here in the USA and Canada, someone's got to have a set available.

So they're available periodically....for how much???

I ask as I've never seen these items being available for sale but lots of discussion about their availability and likely high cost.

Almost all Austrian Army M Pinzgauers have those doortops.

The problem is to find a decent set because on most of the
doortops you can get on ebay either the canvas or the window
itself is torn.

Actually they are not very expensive here. If you take your time
you will most probably find a decent set for around 100-150 Euros.

If there is some interest in those doortops i know some sources
to get hold of them.
