Bestop Vinyl-Top Protectant - any opinions?

Post by texas pinzgauer »

I noticed that Bestop has a product that looks like it might be worth a try on our favorite vehicle's canvas / vinyl top. I like the aviation grade product that Scott sells at EI but I saw this stuff and was wondering if it was worth a try.

Don't know what it's called but if you do and have used it, please weigh in.

303 protectant

Post by krick3tt »

Washed the top and applied a coat of the 303 spray protectant that I got from Scott some time ago. We moved and it has been in a box for awhile.
Looks like a new top, shiny, and clean and the faded parts are gone.
I cleaned the vinyl windows with Pledge and it took 40% of the darkness away.
I have new vinyl for the windows but have not had time to get them in the spaces. That seems like a winter project, having to remove the top and sew them in.

I like the stuff that Scott sells too. I was just curioous if anyone had used this Bestop product and could offer up opinions as to it's suitability.
