New window seals (bargain)

Post by spandit »

I noticed the window seals were the same as ones fitted to Mini's so I bought 5m from here (at only £3.99/m):

Offered it up into the channel today and it fits really well:

I'm going to cut them to fit like this:

So the top one is supported by the side ones and the sides one are held in by the bottom on. The seal is pretty snug so shouldn't need gluing in but I might bung some silicone on the back anyway

Nice find Robin!

I've emailed for a shipping quote across the pond. Hopefully it's not prohibitive.

Good job I'm such a tightwad! Also bought some new head lights for £26 delivered. Came with bulbs too (although 12V, sadly) from Stafford Vehicle Components

You may be a tightwad, but you're a lucky tightwad. You can at least get 'em. Take a look at this response from them:

Hi Paul.

Due to the excessive charges levied by UK mail operators it is not possible for us to effectivly operate a recorded delivery system out side the UK.

Thank you for your interest and sorry we are unable to assist you.

Best Regards
