Rear Bench for 710M

Post by berger »

I am looking at a particular 710M right now, but one of the rear benches is missing. Looks like it may have been used as a Radio Truck, so it was pulled? Anyway, are the benches hard to come buy, or would I need to build/fab my own?

Thanks again for all the help guys!

I think you can get them from EI or other vendors, but not cheap. I have seen them for around $250 each. For me they are a "must have", as they fold down into a checker plate rear bed for cargo purposes....

Since you're so close, email Karl at Pinzgauer Canada and see what he would charge

The truck I am looking at (through pics right now) at his shop. Just curious.

I bought mine from him. I bought via pics and he was very upfront about the condition....

Sorry, maybe my seats came from the truck you're looking at....mine had no seats so I asked for some and he removed them from another...

 If I buy, it will most likely be through Karl. His reputation definitely precedes him and I do like the piece of mind knowing an expert is certifying it. Thankfully, I am close enough to visit his shop. Now to find the time off!!

I wished that I could have visited before my purchase, but I couldn't find the time either....you are pretty close, so definitely worth the trip. If you go, you'll be sold! 8)

He may be able to find a buyer for your Iltis as well...I know he had some customer trucks for sale at the time of my purchase....

make sure you check the platform that the seats would rest on - the truck body - It tends to rust at the support beams. Its not a horrible thing and its pretty common, but make sure you look for it so you are prepared to repair if needed.

My green 712 has it and will need to be patched eventually
