Have you purchased them yet? Anything can be fit to your vehicle but they do look tall. I got my 'other' seats from a Honda. Easy fit but one inch taller than OEM.

Usually the real issue in a Pinz is the width of the passenger seat, which is squeezed between the dog house and the door...

No, I haven't bought them, I figured width would be the main issue.

I really don't want to use car seats as I use my pinz for forestry work, they need to be tough and be able to take a lot of abuse.

I got my Honda seats for $20 each...think of them as ' throw-aways' if they get so beat you can't stand to sit in them.
Have plastic seat covers made.
The driver side fits just fine, the passenger seat is tight fit. I had to remove the plastic side cover to make it fit.

look at the next few shots as well

edit: PS- although I consider these 'throw-away' type seats, I think they are very comfortable...as in,I drove to NWMF from Denver and back again.

Mazda Miata seats are a great alternative. height is about the same at Pinz seats and can be adapted to the pinz bases.

Other noted this but I thought I'd chime in. Passenger side is the tough one as the spaced is limited. Make sure they fit before you pull the trigger. I went with seats from a Sprint which were cheap (under $60 each) but they may not suit your needs.

Finding a "throw away" option sounds like what you need. Something cheap that can be replaced once they become too ratty.

I sat in a pinz with Recaro seats and my head hit the little pad at the top of the cab.
I am only 6 ft but it eliminated them from my list of 'dream' items for my pinz. Can't remember how they were mounted
at the bottom.
Hope your situation is more adaptable.

Happy trails.

Yeah well I am just mounting the drivers seat for now and I think I am going to remove all hints of original mounts to get it as low as possible - could drop it another 1.5 - 2 inches????????

The passenger side looks a little tricky because of the doghouse so I think I will wait on spending another $800+ on another seat!! And let the passenger ) My wife or kids) ride in original pinzgauer style for a little bit. I might have to mount the passenger side seat to the original frame ond mounting locations and that wont really matter as all my passengers are small! :)
