Yellow 712K/718K pic's...

Post by Roverchef »

Does anyone have any info or photo's of the yellow 712K/718K that keeps popping up in the top left corner of the screen? The one with the pop-top. Thanks in advance, Jake

This one? Not a pop up.

Hey, that looks familiar!
But that's a 712M, not a 712K or 718K.

Not an answer but more clues but a few more pics of this 712K.

Does it say Salzburg on the side? Maybe the Austrian forum members can provide info.

I took the pic in 2002 (before the ridiculous looking snorkel was added). It's a 712, like was said. This was at the Treffen in Italy. Didn't get to know the owner.

It was way too loaded down for the 2.5ltr... it can only move so much weight effectively.

An 80 to 92 vanagon top fits the best on a hard top Pinz. Relitivly easy conversion if desired. I looked for a dormobile top when I had my K, as I like those much better. Once I found one I decided to nix the idea and go with a full sized rack for open air roof top sleeping.

Every time I see that yellow 712K I want it (since the odd snorkel is hidden in the photo shown). It reminds me of Space 1999, if anyone remembers that.

I found the woman with the knitted eyebrows strangely attractive, despite the fact she could change instantly into a bee or a walrus or whatever.

Ten points for anyone who can remember her name without googling it.
