Seat Belt Re-inforcements

Post by ExpeditionImports »

Hi Guys,

Pictured is an additional option for seatbelt re-inforcements. Takes a little work but defintely adds rigidity to the A-track mounting.

Cheers,

Scott

Looks like a neat job. What size metal strap did you use for the reinforcing bars? Is the E-Trac welded to the bars or just bolted on? Is the bottom edge of the lower bar lined up with the base of the side rail; I saw some posts indicating it is better to keep the E-Trac up a little to allow the seats to clear when folding over - is this an issue? Thanks

It's actually L-channel for rigidity. 1.5" x 1.5" Once the channel is welded to the rails we use a really high tech method to drill it every 6" for the M6 Nuts and Bolts to bolt the A track to the channel. :)

The bottom of the E-track is high enough up the rail to clear the folding seats with belts installed. (About 2".5")

Cheers,

Scott
