Pinzgauer Winter/Wading set?

Post by mm58 »

I saw this on Ebay. It is for a scale model of a Pinz, and is part of what they call the "Winter/Wading set".
Looks like it is between the LF tire, just forward of the battery box

I have never seen a real Pinz with this, but I would sure like to find one. I have a "K" and the additional
outside storage for tools, oil etc would be nice.

Has anybody ever seen one of these boxes on a real Pinz? Anybody know where I might get one?
What would a "wading" set consist of anyway??

Thanks for any info

Mike

They are fitted to 716/718's when optional coolant heating is required.

It's actually listed in the TD Spare Parts Manual as:
"Box for Auxiliary Heating (Eberspacher D5W)"

716/718's have a longer wheelbase than 710/712's so there is more mid wheelbase clearance to add such a box.

Ah, now i see. Except for the door, it looks like it might be a relatively easy thing to DIY fab.
Maybe have to be slightly narrower to fit properly on a 710K

Thanks Peter!
