I've seen a few options for cup holders. I found these
on the internet and bought them through Amazon. They
weren't very expensive at all, and required very minimal
customization to fit in the Pinz. Took about 10 minutes
to install.

They're sold under the name Kruzer Kaddy. You can find
them at motorcycle shops.

Note: First I padded the mount a little bit so it fits the bar
where I wanted to mount them. Then I drilled a hole in the
bottom of the bracket and put a screw through the bottom
of the bracket, into the bar where the gun mounts were
originally located)

Note: I wouldn't try to buy a cup holder through that
Knuckledown Productions guy. He was kind of an ass. I
paid up front, and he had no intentions of providing any,
but he never told me. A month later I called him and he
explained that he had none in stock, and had no idea if
or when he would have some in the future. Then he said he
would refund my money, which I have never seen. I think
I got taken on that one.

And remove the FNFAL racks? No way!

Try Stgw 57 / SIG 510 instead...

Honestly, as many weapons as I own, I've never owned any of those variants. Nor do I have much experience shooting them.

I must admit the Stgw 57 is the rifle I had the "chance" of carrying around during my time in the Swiss Army, until they had us switch to the more modern Stgw 90 (Sig 550, I believe), but these are the only assault rifles I ever "owned" (or more accurately, held on loan from the Swiss Army)... Apart from these 2 I probably have a tiny fraction of the knowledge and experience you have.
My point being, rifle holders on the ex-Swiss Army Pinzes may fit a FN FAL, but they were designed for the locally-designed Stgw 57.

Don't have the fancy new type weapon, I purchased a Schmidt-Rubin K-31 several years ago but have taken out the rifle holders as they were a problem with knees for the passenger.

My 8mm Mouser fits perfectly.

The rifle mounts definitely do not fit ARs -- either the small 5.56mm or (my go-to weapon) the larger 7.62mm AR-10.

I replaced them with ATV style racks almost exactly like these:

Now working on a weapons mount for a belt-fed weapon.

My K31 fit so well in there I assumed that what they were made for....

I wanted a cup holder and created one for my 3D printer. I replaced the rifle holders and mounted the drink holder. Works great. Going to make a few modifications on the next try after completing the restoration. Also created a iPhone Mount to attach to the wiper bracket. Here is the link for the file.

Pretty cool that we can now make custom pieces at home!

I know that this is an old thread, but since it applies to the Pinz I thought I'd post my new cupholders. Main cupholder is a Tuffy product that's attached with velcro to the console cover, painted with SAV Swiss Army spray paint. The plastic ones in the rear came on the Pinz. They're brittle and I've read they break. I've replaced one with a new stainless steel one that's a little taller but still clears the engine cover. Fortunately the mounting holes for the plastic ones and the new stainless ones are the same. The new stainless ones came from Stryker T-tops, an online boat supplier.

I know they don't swivel like some want, but they're where we want them.
