Dog house or engine cover repair

Post by landy »

Hmm, I partially backed over my dog house or engine cover causing some major cracks to the front part of it. Anybody had success repairing these with bondo or fiberglass? SAV has a used one listed for $650. Didn't see any on EI. Any other sources?

Thanks!

Just going off what I read somewhere (here I assume) they were talking about a plastic repair kits like Eastwood sells. Heats up and inserts a metal staple
Otherwise I am sure someone more knowledgeable that I will post shortly
Cheers

That looks like a nice piece of equipment! Fortunately, I was able to make it useable again with fiberglass, but now need to paint it. Any recommendations, Herculiner, POR-15, etc?

Thanks!
