Carburetor foot print

Build projects, things that guys have come up with to make a Pinz better (or worse?) and aftermarket add-ons.

Carburetor foot print

Post by bikmakr »

Does anyone have a detailed drawing of the carburetor footprint? And the delta in height between them. I am starting a sequential injection project and since Jim's out of kits, I need to fab up my own. As usual, I will provide all models, and drawings to the group
when finished.

I refurbished mine recently and still have the old spacer that sits below the carb.

Would a scaled drawing of this help you?

When I rebuilt mine, the rebuild kit came with all parts needed and the gasket between the carb and the engine was thicker than the ones already on the vehicle. Apparently the PO had done work on it and had put several gaskets in there to even out the base. When I rebuilt the carbs I honed all the mating surfaces to get them as flat as possible, so there was no need to insert many gaskets at the base.
Not sure what the actual distance is but apparently there can be some variation in that distance.

This board is awesome.

I will have a few kits soon, manifolds are made and trigger wheels are almost done.
