Reasonably priced 24V winch?

Build projects, things that guys have come up with to make a Pinz better (or worse?) and aftermarket add-ons.

Reasonably priced 24V winch?

Post by kdiqq »

Trying to get geared up to buy a winch for the Pinz but I have only been able to find a handful of winches that are rated at 24V and all are $1-2k. Is this the cost of having a winch or do you guys have reasonably priced suggestions? I want to avoid running anything 12v on the pinz, especially for a high-load application llike a winch. Greatly appreciate the suggestions!

I got mine from EI years ago. Don't remember the price as I traded my rear seats for it and got the bumper as well.

I downloaded a catalogue from a tractor parts supply shop called Sparex and they had one listed.

www.sparex.com

Couldn't find it on my mobile device. They have outlets in USA as well as UK.

Truck/tractor shops will be cheaper than a 4x4 shop as they don't have the 'hobby customer' markup.

Our sponsor has the best deal you will find on a Talon Superwinch. Don't buy some cheap Chinese winch, you'll regret it big time when you actually need to use it.

And go Synthetic. Our rigs are already nose heavy -- unless your going the fanny pack route
